Bull Shoals Lake Fishing Report! AGFC Fishing Report Bull Shoals Lake.
Bass- Del Colvin Fishing on Wednesday, June10th. Lake level on the rise 664 with more coming down the pipe. watch out for some debris. Water temp 81 give or take. The Power fisherman are up in flooded bushes doing fine on the right day wind/clouds/rain/stain spinnerbait and chatterbait on shallow flats ledges and transition banks stained water. Better get up early and beat the heat as Summer is starting to heat up. Topwater bite can be good covering water with a spook or poppers. Once that bite slows try A small tater Swimbait or Mayor 2.5 is working in natural shad imitation colors. I been using the Big Spoon! Or Jewel shad spoon is hot right now if they are busting surface or your favorite minnow to shake around the shad. If the conditions are post frontal flat water high pressure blue birds Hot Sunny jump in. So if you grind it out it will get tough. I will slow down downsize and get off the bank look at deep ledges and brush piles bomb casts with lighter fluorocarbon line. You can try a drop shot with a Robo, finesse jewel pee-wee jig gp orange PBJ or bass whacker is working a GP also a Shakey head . Summer areas start looking at Long Points ledges big red worms or craw baits in brush piles timber tops on Bluffs and bluff ends. Shallow stuff with deeper water close by. There are fish from the surface down 50ft as they move deep and suspend 30-40ft especially if there is shad around graph time pays off as usual. I do believe scuba divers spear fishing starting up. Watch out for diver flags and be sure to give em their space. Remember “Fish the Conditions!” Del Colvin Fishing. Delcolvinfishing.
The walleye- Fishing this past week has been fair due to rising water from the passing storms. Summer Fishing patterns are in play. More fish seem to be holding on flatter points with deep water on one side .
Look for fish on long points close to the channel swings.
Main lake and secondary points have been producing fish during the day .
Fish shallow early mornings and on cloudy days in 26 to 30ft of water and deeper in 35 to 45ft of water if there is little or no wind or cloud cover. Casting
Jigging spoons in the White or Chrome color and jigging rapalas in the blue and chrome1/2 oz size into 20 ft of water and working it back out into 35 ft has been working . Spooning around brush piles in 27 to 30 ft is working good.
Bottom Bouncing 0range or gold #3 colorado or willow leaf blade spinner rigs and crawlers around sudes and tips of point close to channel is producing a alot of short fish as well some good 18 to 23 inch walleyes.
If trolling try Shad style and small banana style baits like #7 flicker shads 0r #9 flicker minnow in natural colors Trolled in 25 ft to 35 ft of water at speeds of 1.8 to 2.2 seems to working best. The open water trolling bite has has been getting slower this week with very few bigger being caught. Southernwalleye@yahoo.com
Crappie 101- Crappie are still on the brush and structure in creeks in that 15 to 20ft range mostly, quality is still mainly mixed up. Jig bite has been a little slower and even minnows at times. Cover water until you find the ones that want to bite.
